About me

My design philosophy is simple

Know my client and understand their vision!  I believe that everyone deserves their own personal sanctuary.  What is better than coming home to a beautiful and relaxing space after a long and stressful day?

How do we get started?  By having a clear understanding of your lifestyle and design taste. This is the inspiration for your overall design custom concept, which should be beautiful, practical and satisfy the soul. I help my clients determine the budget based upon my understanding of your design goals, and am happy to work with you project by project, as your decorating allowance becomes available. It’s all about “Making the World Beautiful, One Room at a Time!

Since opening my decorating business in 2002, I’ve been honored to receive numerous awards, including four wins in the international Dream Room design competition – judged by editors of national shelter magazines such as House Beautiful and Traditional Home. Two of my designs are featured in the hardcover book “Decorating… The Professional Touch” by Carol Donayre Bugg, and have also been featured in several national shelter magazines.

Charleston Award and Best of Houzz Award

I have been honored with the Charleston Award and Best of Houzz Award for service and client satisfaction in 2015. I’m also proud to be a member of Decorating Den Interiors’ President’s Club and to have received the coveted Directors’ Award, Eagle Award, Pinnacle Award andPositive Thinker Award for business achievements.

I strongly support continuing education, and have taught my colleagues at Decorating Den Interiors’ annual national conference and at monthly regional meetings. With several furniture manufacturers’ close by, I take advantage of visiting their factories to gain a more comprehensive insight of the art of manufacturing upholstered furniture, and attend High Point Market often to stay abreast of current trends.

I am also a  proud member of The Point. The Point is a women’s non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local groups in the low country that focuses on the needs of less fortunate women and children, those suffering with ill health, and those who are striving to repair the structure of their family.  The Point offers financial support to the community by coordinating fundraising events and providing service by volunteering their time & talents.

Being an avid supporter of my local community, I regularly volunteer at the Lowcountry Food Bank preparing meals for those in need.  I also frequently participate in numerous community and church events.

As a certified interior decorator, I can help you turn those magazine pages you have saved for inspiration into a beautiful room. Contact me today at 843-793-1175 and let’s get started!
